Our History

As a result of the personal tragedy that Dr Abigail Magwenzi, the Founding Visionary and Director of FASAA went through in her personal life after losing her husband to liver cirrhosis due to excessive intake of alcohol and her son who almost died due to the excessive intake of a cocktail of drugs and substances such as Chrystal meth, marijuana, mbanje, codeine, pethidine and alcohol; Dr Abigail Magwenzi decided to turn her pain into purpose by opening an affordable Rehabilitation Centre which also takes in key populations and non -paying discounted clients.

Three years prior to setting up the Rehab Centre, Dr Abigail was raising awareness and was an advocate in fighting the drugs pandemic.

She also manages a support group of over 300 affected families trough workshops, outreaches and over different social media platforms, that is offering family therapy and counselling to the affected families.
